Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping. Develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to each client's unique needs and preferences. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of clients. Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed. Maintain a clean and organized living space, adhering to our organization's standards for cleanliness and safety. Build strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Skills Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist with daily living activities. Ability to work effectively in a home care setting, including managing challenging behaviors. Experience working with seniors is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Location: Dixon, Somonauk, Big Rock, and the DeKalb County area. All candidates must successfully pass both a federal criminal background check and motor vehicle report. Additionally, allcandidates must be eligible under the Illinois Department of Public Health's Healthcare Worker Registry. If you are not already deemed eligible by IDPH, then you will need to have your fingerprints scanned by a third-party vendor, at the expense of the employer. If you are need fingerprinting completed, the employer will notify you and help coordinate this appointment. All candidates must perform drug screening during new hire training.
